Norton City-Wide Clean Up will be held on your regular trash day Monday through Wednesday, April 15,16,17..
NORTON CITY-WIDE CLEAN-UP
This is a free service provided by the City of Norton to City Residential Customers.
Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday; April 15th, 16th, & 17th
City trucks will make special trash pickup on these days. All items MUST be out at the
curb by 8 a.m. on your regular route day. Items put out after your route day will NOT be
picked up. Please don’t put items out more than 1 week in advance of clean-up days.
All types of trash will be picked up on your regular trash route day EXCEPT tires or household
hazardous waste. Tree limbs must be cut no longer than 8 feet long. Fireplace ash and
animal feces must be in plastic bags, which are tied closed. Yard waste pick up will begin
on April 18th, and must be in a solid container – not in plastic bags.
The maximum limit the City will pick up at each residence is 1 load of household items and
1 load of tree limbs. Lathe and plaster must be in a solid, dumpable container.
SPECIAL NOTE: TRASH MUST BE SEPARATED in piles, i.e., tree limbs from metals, etc.
since items are disposed of in different locations at the landfill. Mattresses, furniture and
E-waste (computers, microwaves, stereos, TV’s, DVD’s, VCR’s) must be separate from
other trash. Tires and hazardous waste (paint, motor oil, batteries, pesticides, poisons,
caustic chemicals, etc.) WILL NOT be picked up by the City.
NOTE: Twigs & limbs are only picked up on clean-up days and must be in a separate pile.
Yard waste will be picked up on Thursdays, beginning April 18th.
